The Hulsizer Girls get dedicated

It was a whirlwind of a trip, but the kids and I along with GV & Papa headed down to Boise for a quick trip to be there when Evie and Sonni were dedicated.  Here are some pictures from the dedication (the girls were precious!)

The church had hot chocolate...my kids were sooo excited!

The things Grandparents do....

These pictures are from awhile ago but one weekend, the kids were at GV & Papa's house and they are doing some remodeling (I know, weird, huh?)  Anyway, they gave Ry and Paul each a hammer, protective glasses and face mask and said...Go At It!

 Those blue eyes are sparkling!

When they got home and told us all about their weekend, we had to make sure Paul knew he wasn't allowed to do this at our house....he said he knew.

Paul with some snow shoes!

A couple weeks ago Paul spent a day with Grandma Vickie & Papa and they still had a bunch of snow, so they strapped some snow shoes to Paul's feet and let him go at it!  So So cute!

Thankful, Week 12

A couple of nights ago at bedtime, Paul asked Rylee is she would read him a bed time story.  So, she read him a chapter out of her library book.  It was so cute that I ran downstairs to grab my camera!  I am so thankful that the kiddos get along and that Rylee loves to read and Paul loves to be read to!

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day was last week and when the kids and I got home from work and school we discovered that our toilet water was GREEN.  What?  That naughty little Leprechaun had come and turned all our toilet water green.  So, we flushed the toilets and moved on with our day.  Later that evening, I was making some eggs for breakfast burrito and that little green guy turned the eggs and our sour cream green.  He also turned the milk green.  The kids were so excited that the Leprechaun visited our house!

Thankful, Week 11

For some reason, Paul has been going through the seperation anxiety thing.  We have been trying and trying to encourage him, but it's been tough.  It's hard to make your kid do something when they are crying about it.  Paul has been doing swimming lessons for a couple of weeks on Tuesdays.  Rylee will start in April now that basketball is over.  Well, last week, Paul was crying about doing lessons and ended up missing class all together.  This week, I picked him up from daycare and he told me that he didn't want to go to swim lessons.  I just told him that he had to.  He said he was scared.  I told him he had to go anyway.  He cried all the way from daycare to swim lessons.  We got there and he was still a little timid, but he quickly overcame that and spent the entire 45 minutes jumping, splashing, swimming, laughing...  So, this week I am thankful that he is starting to be a little more brave!  Nice work Paul!  Below are a few pictures I took with my cell phone of the little man in the pool!

The Last Basketball Game

The last game.  Rylee's last basketball game was on Monday evening and the girls did great!  Here is a picture of the whole team including Coach Misty after the game.  Coach Misty got them all medals for participation!  The girls loved it!  Can't wait for next season!

Thankful Week 10

This week I am thankful that one of my best friends had a healthy baby girl (she had her last week, but I didn't have pictures until this week!)  That sweet little darling is named Megan and will have 2 of the best parents!  I am so thankful that my friend Storie gets to experience motherhood! Congrats Storie!

Paul & his PJs

One of my sweet friends Janelle gave me a bag full of clothes for Paul that her son (who is only a couple months older than Paul...but who is SUPER TALL) had outgrown.  When she gave it to me, I knew Paul wouldn't fit in the clothes right away so I just stuck the bag in his closet.  Well, a couple of weeks ago, he comes downstairs and says "Mom, look at my new PJs".  I said "very nice...where did you get these new PJs Paul?".  Paul says "from that bag in my closet".  Oh....now I remember.  Anyway, the purpose of this story is not to tell you how it appears that I have lost my mind, but to tell how much Paul loves PJs.  We got home from work/school yesterday and he immediatly said "Can I go put on my PJs?".  Sure, I say.  Then a little later I am talking to my Mom on the phone and he says "Mom, take a picture of my in my PJs so we can send it to Grandma Vickie".  Ok.  So, below is the picture of him in his PJs that he just had to share (sorry the picture is so dark!).

Thankful, Week 9

Laughing.  Most nights the kids go to bed before us and when I wander upstairs to go to bed, I usually check in on the little munchkins to make sure they are sleeping and all cozy in their beds.  Last night was no different.  I went into Rylee's room and was trying to tighten up her covers since the night before almost all of her bedding ended up on the floor.  A little panic set in as I realized that she was not in her bed.  But, I could hear her breathing...huh?  So, I went around to the other side of her bed and sure enough, she was laying underneath her bed in the little cave that she has created all bundled up in a blanket.  So, I picked her up and put her in bed and got her all snug...she didn't even wake up!  Then, I wait at the top of the stairs for Rob to come up and tell him what I just found in Rylee's room.  He laughs and we head to our bedroom.  We walk into our room and on our bed is a note written in Rylee's sweet little hand-writing (see below).  So, this week I am thankful for laughing!
